The Villages at Alton Park
The Villages at Alton Park is a HOPE VI project funded through a HUD grant to the Chattanooga Housing Authority to redevelop the 57 acres McCallie Homes Public Housing Site into a mix income family housing complex. The project was funded through mix income funding including private equity funding and financing and local government funding. The project has 400 units consisting of 300 units of multi-family housing and 100 units of single family housing. The multi-family housing consist of duplexes, triplexes and townhouses. The site was redevelopment under the New Urbanism guidelines using a mix-use PUD, which consist of porches for all housing, 2 parks, a club house with swimming pool, new infrastructure, sidewalks with street trees and street lighting. SRR & Associates, PC was the Project Architect and Project Manager for the project. The project was developed in three phases with a construction cost of $65,000,000.
